HEALTH TOURISM
Extremadura possesses 8 of the 64 thermal villas which currently exist in Spain. Of these two are of recent creation, the Jerte Valley Spa in Valdastillas and the El Salugral Spa in the heart of the Ambroz Valley.

The other Spas which go to make up Extremadura’s proposal are: Baños de Alange, Baños de Montemayor, San Gregorio in Brozas, Fuentes del Trampal in Montánchez, El Raposo in Puebla de Sancho Pérez and Valdefernando in Valdecaballeros.
These new forms of tourism, these new tendencies, alternatives and tourist destinations lead to a greater degree of contact with nature, the environment and rural areas associated with a healthy way of life, less degraded and barely influenced by urban lifestyles. Extremadura has positioned itself as leader in the health tourism segment, with 10% of Spain’s entire social-thermal capacity.
